2022 4-H Congress

North Carolina 4-H Congress is an annual state event held at NC State University where 4-Hers from across the state come together to celebrate their accomplishments. State competition for presentations, scholarships, national 4-H award trips, and the state 4-H officer elections all take place during the week. Congress is typically the highlight of many 4-Hers’ experiences and a great way to meet new friends from the District and other parts of the state.

Highlights of 4-H Congress include:

  • Flag Ceremony
  • Honor club Tapping
  • 4-H Dances
  • Workshops
  • State Officer Elections
  • Candlelight Clover
  • and MORE!

The dates for 4-H Congress this year are July 16-19, 2022. Full-time participant (Saturday night – Tuesday) registration and lodging is only $100 for Buncombe 4-H members + 4 meals. Thanks to the John Schnautz 4-H Endowment, the remaining costs are covered for Buncombe 4-Hers.

4-Hers must be 13 years old as of January 1, 2022 in order to participate in Congress. Our Buncombe delegation will be traveling together to Raleigh and will be staying at a hotel in Raleigh in coordination with other counties in our area.

If you are interested in attending the trip, please contact Holly Jordan at holly_jordan@ncsu.edu or (828) 255-5522 ASAP to receive more details. You can also download a copy of the registration package below.
