Are you passionate about gardening and eager to give back? The NC State Extension Master Gardener℠ program is looking for community-minded individuals wanting to expand and share their gardening knowledge, and work in a team environment.
Program Requirements
To become a certified volunteer, accepted applicants must complete:
· Initial Training: 40 hours of in-person instruction.
· Examination: Pass a comprehensive gardening exam.
· Internship: 40 hours of volunteer service.
Note: Annual recertification requires 15 hours of continuing education and 30 hours of volunteer service.
· When: Tuesdays (daytime), August through November.
· Where: In-person training sessions.
· Cost: $100 training fee (due on the first day of class).
· Application Deadline: June 1, 2026.
