Registration for our 2023 Buncombe County’s 4-H Presentation Day is now available. Our 4-H presentation program is an activity where youth are able to learn about a new topic, develop a presentation, and utilize public speaking skills at the County, District, and sometimes state-level competitions. This is a great way for our youth to develop effective communication skills and techniques that will last a lifetime!
This event is open to youth ages 5 - 18 (age as of January 1). Our 5-7 year-olds participate in a non-competitive group but it's a great way to get involved at a young age and get over the fear that many youth and adults have for public speaking.
2023 TIMELINE:
- Registration is due no later than Monday, May 22, 2023.
- Buncombe County 4-H Presentation Day is by individually set appointments on Wednesday, May 24th or Thursday, May 25th at the Buncombe Extension office (49 Mount Carmel Road, Asheville). These appointments will be finalized after the registration due date.
Our county winners will be eligible for district competition at District Activity Day which will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Chase High School in Rutherford County.
