We are once again excited to be partnering with the Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers of Buncombe County again this year for the 4-H Mini Gardening Project. This is an opportunity to “dig in” and have fun with your own vegetable garden while learning through input provided by Master Gardener℠ volunteers.
This opportunity is open to ANY families, friends, and youth in Buncombe County. We welcome all kinds of gardens: ground gardens, raised gardens, container gardens, and more. Below are a few details of this year’s program:
- Registration is due May 11th.
- Participants will take part in a Zoom update with the Buncombe Extension Master Gardeners on Thursday, May 12th at 6pm. Zoom information will be emailed to those who register.
- Participants can pick up their plants and seeds May 17th and 18th at the Buncombe Extension Office.
- If requested, the Extension Master Gardeners will visit your garden during the summer months to provide suggestions, answer specific questions, and help troubleshoot any issues you might have.
- During the summer growing months, we will ask participants to share photos of your garden and harvest to celebrate your success!!
If your family plans to participate, you must register by Wednesday, May 11th. If you have any questions about this program or would like to sign your family up, please contact Holly Jordan at
