NC Pesticide Classes and Certification

On this page you will find information regarding pesticide education and safety. This includes upcoming recertification classes, pesticide safety schools that will be offered locally, as well as other helpful information for NC Pesticide applicators.

NC Pesticide Recertification Classes

Private Pesticide License

To maintain and recertify your NC private pesticide license, you need a total of (2) V credits and (2) X credits within 3 years of your last renewal and pay a renewal fee of $10.00. Private Pesticide License Recertification Class Dates (Deadline for Recertification is September 30th, 2026):

March 11th, 2026 (3:30pm-7:30pm; (2) V credit (2) X credit): Register Here

April 8th, 2026 (3:30pm-7:30pm; (2) V credit; (2) X credit): Register Here

September 9th, 2026 (3:30pm-7:30pm; (2) V credit; (2) X credit): Register Here

Commercial Pesticide License

December 5th, 2025 (2:30pm-5:40pm)

January 7th, 2026 (2:30pm-5:40pm)

January 28th, 2026 (ONLINE) (2:30pm-5:40pm)

February 24th, 2026 (2:30pm-5:40pm)

March 19th, 2026 (ONLINE) (2:30pm-5:40pm)

May 6th, 2026 (2:30-6:40): Register Here

NC Landscape Contractors

To recertify your NCLCB license, you will need a total of 7 credits by the end of each annual cycle which is July 31st. 3 of the seven credits should be in the technical category and at least 2 hours of the business category.
