Union County School Enrichment Programs

Union County School Enrichment Programs

4-H and local schools, both public and private, team up to offer classroom enrichment programs. For example, 4-H offers the Embryology Program for 2nd grade classrooms. Through this program, students learn about animal development as they incubate and hatch chicks in their class. Union County 4-H provides curriculum training to 2nd grade teachers, as well as provides equipment, curriculum, and fertile chicken eggs for each class. Teachers interested in this experience need to contact the 4-H Extension Agent for training dates and location. Only 2nd grade teachers who have been trained to use this curriculum may loan embryology materials.
