Caroline Kiser, a rising senior at NC State University has joined the Buncombe County Extension Staff as part of the 2025 summer internship program. Caroline Kiser is enrolled in the College of Ag and Life Sciences, majoring in Agricultural Business Management and will be working at the Buncombe County Extension Office from May - July. Caroline is a Buncombe County native, graduating from A.C. Reynolds High School.

Through this internship, Caroline is excited to grow her understanding of Cooperative Extension, agriculture and 4-H youth programs. She states she is especially looking forward to promoting the 4-H program in her community and helping others gain the benefits it has to offer. During her internship, Caroline will be mainly involved in 4-H programming, helping to plan and implement positive youth development programs for youth in Buncombe County. Caroline hopes to earn her degree next year and is potentially interested in a career with Cooperative Extension.

Throughout her internship, Caroline will be working on a project focused on conducting a marketing analysis of 4-H in Buncombe County. The goal of this project is to develop more effective ways to market 4-H programs to our local community. As part of her research, she is collecting data from across North Carolina about the impact 4-H has had on individuals. This data will help guide the development of new and improved marketing tools tailored to reach more people and broaden the reach of 4-H in Buncombe County.
