During February, the NC Wildlife Resources Commission presented Buncombe County 4-H Agent Jordan English the 2024 District 8 Wildlife Instructor of the Year Award for her work with the Yancey County 4-H Shooting Sports Club and their participation in the Youth Hunter Education Skills Tournament.

Prior to coming to N.C. Cooperative Extension, Buncombe County Center in August, 2024, Jordan was the 4-H Agent for Yancey County, overseeing more than 250 youth involved in 4-H clubs, school enrichment, summer fun programs and other 4-H events.
