As our communities continue to grow, the need to look at a variety of alternative methods to control pest in our landscape. The annual IPM Symposium continues to bring in speakers from all over the US and Canada to share with us the latest in research into control methods that reduce our dependence on traditional pesticides. This symposium is a collection of topics that range from focuses on greenhouse pests to landscape pests. This year’s event will include someone focusing on a new crop for this area: hemp. Check out the full Conference Schedule.
We have several CEUs approved including 4 L credits (Technical) for NC Landscape Contractors. The rest are all pesticide credits from 4 different states. If you are a Landscape Contractor, just know that we will plan to offer 3 hours of business credits in the winter so that you can take this class and be able to complete the other hours before spring. Get registered early as space is limited.
The Horticulture IPM Symposium is already taking registrations. This is an extensive collaborative effort between N.C. Cooperative Extension and The NC Arboretum.
