The 2022 WNC AgOptions Grant Cycle is now underway for farms located in the 22 far-western counties of North Carolina. WNC AgOptions has transformed many agricultural operations, providing capital for farm expansion and diversification projects ranging from cut flowers to beekeeping, agritourism, and a myriad of crops. Applicants may apply for either $4000 or $8000 cost-share grants for their individual farm businesses. The guidelines and application (available in English and Spanish) are available at the WNC AgOptions website.

Interested applicants should contact their County Agricultural agent by the Intent to Apply deadline of November 12, 2021, to discuss their project. The final grant deadline is December 17, 2021; applications due at WNC Communities by 5 p.m. Emailed applications must be received by NOON.
There will be an information session presented in Spanish on November 7 at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Henderson County Center. RSVP to attend this event by contacting 828-252-4783 or agoptions@wnccommunities.org.
A recorded presentation of the information session in English can be viewed online. Additional sessions may be added in the next few weeks – check the AgOptions website for any updates.
