2021 Carteret County 4-H Photography Contest Winners Announced

4-H and Carteret County Farm Bureau logos

Carteret County Farm Bureau sponsored the 2021 Carteret County 4-H Photography Contest. The contest invited youth, ages 5-18, who reside in Carteret County to enter photos in three categories: (1) 4-H in Action (2) Nature’s Beauty and (3) My Best Friend.

Photos were submitted online to the Carteret County 4-H office. On Tuesday, August 10, the photos were reviewed and judged by the board members of Carteret County Farm Bureau, and winners were selected in each category.

Winners were announced to youth with a video

On Friday, September 17, youth who participated were invited to the Morehead City Farm Bureau office to receive a prize, provided by Carteret County Farm Bureau.

This year’s county contest will lead up to the State Photography Contest. Youth, who are current 4-H’ers and ages 8-18, submitted their photos to the State level. These winners will be announced during National 4-H Week and will be showcased Thursday, October 7 on the North Carolina 4-H Facebook Page at 7 p.m.
