2019 Summer 4-H Opportunities

Looking for some fun activities for your kids this summer? We have a few opportunities available through the Buncombe County 4-H Program. Check out the details below of the trips we will be taking.

June 18-21, 2019 | 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m. | 4-H Local Foods Camp
Cost: $25 | Ages 8-18
Tour local farms, a cheese making facility, and take part in preparing an Italian feast!

July 18, 2019 | 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m. | Linville Caverns and Hiking Trip to the Falls
Cost: $15 | Ages 8-18
Explore the subterranean world, history, and the grand work of nature in the caverns and then hike up to see the beauty of the water falls.

July 30, 2019 | 8 a.m.–5 p.m. | Old Salem Museum and Gardens
Cost: $20 | Ages 8-18
Experience what it was like to grow up in Salem, NC over 200 years ago! We will visit museums, participate in hands on activities and more!!

July 31, 2019 | 8 a.m.–6 p.m. | US National White Water Center
Cost: $65 | Ages 8-18
Rafting, kayaking, paddle boarding, rock climbing, zip lines and more!!!! Spend the day on an outdoor adventure!

Transportation is provided for each event. Participants must bring a bagged lunch, water bottle, and wear close-toed shoes. Drop-off and pick-up will take place at the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Buncombe County office located at 49 Mount Carmel Road in Asheville.
