FEB 1 & 6 Tax Workshops for Small Farmers

— Written By and last updated by

Wallace Souther of Franklin Tax Services, Inc. will provide two FREE informational sessions preparing farmers for tax season. We will discuss how equipment, depreciation, labor, losses and income should be reflected in basic tax documents including Form 1040, and the Schedules A (deductions), C (business gain or loss), and F (farm income). This is a perfect opportunity for small farmers to learn how to navigate through and document the often confusing agribusiness tax world.

There are two opportunities to attend this workshop:

  • February 1 from 6pm – 8pm
  • February 6 from 12:30pm – 2:30pm

Workshops will be held at the Buncombe County Cooperative Extension Center located at 49 Mt. Carmel Road in Asheville. Please RSVP to Meghan Baker at meghan_baker@ncsu.edu.
